Bridled Parrotfish
(Scarus frenatus)

Other common names:
Six-banded Parrotfish.
Birdled Parrotfish.

Identification:
Upper body dark green to olive and turquoise near the tail.
Lower body purple and turquoise near the tail.
Blue tail with yellow lines, and a large yellow anal fin with a blue edge.
Two yellow markings under the mouth.

Temperature range:
21 - 30 Celsius (70 - 86 Fahrenheit).

Typical location:
Over and around outer coral reefs, but will enter shallow flats and lagoons.

Fishing methods:
Baitfishing with crab, snail, clam or mussel.

Fighting characteristics:
Very good at finding obstacles in even shallow water!
