Identification:
Long slender body with black to dark blue back,
silver sides and silvery white belly.
Two very long jaws with sharp conical long teeth.
Green bones.

Temperature range:
26 - 30 Celsius (79 - 86 Fahrenheit).

Typical location:
Near the surface around islands and shallow reefs.

Fishing methods:
Lure casting with spinning lures and casting lures.
Slow trolling or drifting with live or dead baitfish.

Fighting characteristics:
A fast strike followed by a just as fast run near the surface.
