Peacock Rockcod

Identification:
Yellow to orange coloured body with 5-6 pale bars on the rear part.
Black head, tail, pelvic and anal fin.
Complete body covered with small blue spots.

Temperature range:
18 - 30 Celsius (65 - 86 Fahrenheit).

Typical location:
Over and around shallow as well as deep coral reefs.

Fishing methods:
Drifting or at anchor with small live fish or prawn.
Jigging over wrecks and reefs.

Fighting characteristics:
Aggressive strike followed by a powerful pull
for nearby obstructions on the sea bed.
