Identification:
Bronze to silver coloured body with red to orange fins.
Dark blotch at the tip of the dorsal fin, and black stripes along each lobe of the tail.

Typical location:
Near the bottom in rivers, streams, canals and ditches.

Fishing methods:
Bottom fishing with dough, weed, maggots or earthworm.

Fighting characteristics:
Quick and powerful pulls mixed with constant direction changes.
